Veruca Clinic

Verrucas are benign growths on the skin that are highly vascular in nature. They are caused by a virus called the Human Papilloma virus.
Verrucae and warts are known to disappear spontaneously. This is thought to be the body creating antibodies against this virus. Therefore the body’s immune system can fight the virus and after time the verruca or wart can disappear.
However in some people the verruca can remain for some time and even develop other verrucae around it.
Which verrucae need treatment? Ideally all verrucae should be treated to prevent transmission to other non-infected people. However not everybody is able to or wants to get treatment.

At The Contemporary Foot Care Company we believe verrucae that requires treatment are:-

Verrucae on weight bearing areas of the foot that cause foot pain and discomfort.

Verrucae, between, on top or on the apex of toes. These can cause discomfort due to increased sensitivity.

Some verrucae are unsightly and treatment maybe recommended on aesthetic grounds.

Treatments
At The Contemporary Foot Care Company we use both caustic (mild acid) and homeopathic natural remedies to treat verruca. These can either be used on their own or with a combination of both. All treatment plans will be devised according to patient medical history, age and current health status.

* IT MUST BE REMEMBERED THAT EVEN AFTER PROFESSIONAL VERRUCA TREATMENT THERE IS NO 100 % GUARANTEE OF SUCCESS *
